Don't Touch My Thigh - I'm Not Someone to Objectify
Add some info about this item
Recently a woman of PhiSB, let's call her Z, was at a charity event seated next to a very rich, very powerful man at least 2x her age. Not that it all matters but Z is highly educated and successful. After a lovely evening of discourse the rich old man asked Z if she was single as he slid his hand under her dress, squeezed her inner thigh and said "because I'd love to take you out". While just shy of a pussy grab this is not right. No one should put their hands on another person. Join PhiSB for an off the record conversation to share experiences, examine bias and discuss action steps to mitigate objectification.
Smart Investing

Like it or hate it- money provides power, security and independence. It’s important for everyone (female or male) to have a basic understanding of "money" and a financial plan for their future. With this theme in mind the Bachelder Group at Morgan Stanley is leading a "Smart Investing" salon. They will provide a short (~20 min) powerpoint describing different financial strategies and investing options. We will then open up the conversation for questions. Want to know how to set up an IRA? What’s the best way to save for your kids education? How to invest in the S&P 500? Best way to pay off student debt? When to buy a home? This is an off the record conversation...
